Bethany Teague brings a calm, grounded, and deeply attuned presence to her work with children, adolescents, and teens navigating emotional, developmental and behavioral challenges. She believes that healing happens through connection, both with a supportive therapist and with one’s own inner world, and is intentional about creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and supported to do so.

Bethany works primarily with children and adolescents. She supports clients navigating the impacts of trauma, life transitions, anxiety, and depression which often manifests in difficulties with emotional regulation, social connection, and academic difficulties.

In her sessions, Bethany integrates a range of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy alongside play-based, sensory, and movement-based interventions. These approaches help clients regulate emotions, build body awareness, improve focus, and develop confidence in ways that feel supportive and developmentally appropriate.

Bethany is also actively involved in the development of Compass Family Counseling Center’s SMART Room—a sensory-focused therapeutic environment designed to support regulation through movement, tactile tools, and embodied experiences. This space reflects her belief that healing is not only cognitive, but also deeply connected to the body and nervous system.

At the heart of Bethany’s work is a belief in attunement: a compassionate listening to one’s inner world. She trusts that the wisdom and capacity for healing already live within each person, and that a therapeutic environment can help uncover and strengthen those inner resources. When appropriate, Bethany tailors to each child’s needs and may partner closely with caregivers to build understanding and strengthen the support system around each child or teen.

Whether your child is learning emotional regulation, your teen is feeling overwhelmed by academic or social pressures, or your family is navigating a season of transition, Bethany offers a warm, structured, and supportive space to heal, grow, and build meaningful connection.
