When you first walk into therapy, you can feel overwhelmed by your anxiety, and you might feel unsure of how to move forward. Kenedy created a place where you can feel seen and heard. She gently guides people through the process of understanding past trauma and how it impacts, the present experience.
Through Kenedy’s support, you can learn to identify and name emotions that have always felt so overwhelming. Together, you can explore coping strategies that you can use when those emotions become uncomfortable. Whether through mindfulness techniques to help stay grounded or tools to regulate your emotions, Kenedy can help you every step of the way.
High school and college athletes are more often experiencing anxiety and depressive symptoms, especially through the pressure-filled season of ups and downs. As a former collegiate all American athlete NCAA National Player of the Year Award winner, Kenedy has a unique mix of experience, clinical skills, and training to provide care for athletes by helping them explore the intersection of mental health and athletic performance.

My values, beliefs, spirituality, and general worldview profoundly influence the way I approach my work and my interactions with others. Spirituality plays a role in how I approach challenges and adversity. My faith helps provide a sense of purpose and resilience during difficult times, helping me stay grounded and focused on what truly matters in my life. I value empathy and care deeply about people, which influences the work that I do as well.
I was initially drawn to the field of social work through foster care and adoption. My parents took in foster children when I was a young girl, so I grew up hearing about their experiences and was heartbroken by what I saw and heard, even from a young age. The more I learned about the field and the more experience that I gained, the more I knew that I wanted to be in the midst of human struggle with people. I wanted to be someone trustworthy and empathetic during the most difficult parts of someone’s life experience. I am always curious about how our experiences affect our emotions, how we act, and how we move forward.
Sitting with clients who have experienced traumatic events breaks my heart. I feel so honored to be able to do this work, and yet, the brokenness of the world that is reflected through client’s stories and lives can be heartbreaking.
Connection and relationships absolutely make my heart sing. I am a true introvert at heart, so I deeply value relationships that foster trust and intentionality. Exercise also makes my heart sing, as it’s a way that I care for my own mind and body. I am a former collegiate athlete, a for-fun pickleballer, and a new CrossFitter!
Each and every client comes to therapy bringing new experiences, new adversities, and new goals. No human being is the same, which makes being a therapist a beautiful mix of exciting and challenging. The most meaningful moments for me are ones of vulnerability. Being vulnerable takes so much courage on the part of the client. I feel so privileged that I get to be apart of this vulnerability and courage!
